Data-computing system (DCS) of seismic monitoring local network (LNSM)

 

Overview:

The technology is intended to development and creation of a breadboard model of seismic monitoring  system which allows to estimate:

- Local seismicity of monitoring area;

- Condition nearby oil and gas pipelines;

- Mode of deformation of environment in the monitoring area (in particular in areas of

oil and gas pipelines, oil refining plants (ORP), oil-gas deposits);                                                                                                                                                                                                      

- Condition of the bases of the enterprises and other objects and geological environment under them.

During works it is offered to develop and to create a breadboard model of Data-computing system (DCS) of a local network of seismic monitoring (LNSM) with the purpose of definition of parameters of seismic sources in the given monitoring area.

As the basic means of registration will be used:

- three component broadband geophones;                                                                                                                                         

- laser interferometers and deformographs (LID)                                                                             

(Their number and arrangement geometry are determined according to results of reconnaissance works).

            In DCS the methods (algorithms) of optimum (suboptimum) processing of seismic and deformational information (SDI) for the purposes of detection of various geophysical sources are realized.

At the expense of optimum processing of SDI the qualitatively new opportunities of seismic monitoring that allow to make the most of the useful information on geophysical sources, which is inaccessible to existing systems of monitoring are reached.

In comparison with the developed systems the offered monitoring system has the following advantages and features:

- It is the system for registration of SDI in wider frequency a range;

- It provides an opportunity of increase efficiency of geophysical monitoring at the expense of algorithms of SDI processing;

- It allows to hold researches of deformational processes of natural and man-made origin.

The Data-computing system LNSM consists of the following elements:

- centre of  seismic and deformational information gathering and processing;

- complex of connection and LNSM transmission data;

- complex of SDI registration according to the number of base stations (BS) of LNSM.

The offered variant of DCS LNSM will allow to throw light upon the deformational mode of environment in the monitoring area by drawing up of:

- maps-schemes with drawing of places of the greatest risk (zones of subsidence, landslips, breaks, compression);

- maps-schemes of an arrangement of the centers of micro-earthquakes.
