A NEW Start for BRITECH
At the end of June 2006, Britech's operational arrangements will change to reflect the Israeli and UK Governments' plans for future technology activities between the two countries. In summary, from 1 July 2006 Britech will be represented as follows:
1. UK/Israel Partner Searches
In future, requests for assistance in identifying technology partners will be handled separately in the two countries.
a) UK companies should address their partnership enquiry to the UK's new International Technology Promoter for Israel, Dr David Ezra at david.ezra@pera.com or directly to the DTI's GlobalWatch service at www.globalwatchservice.com.
b) Israeli companies should contact Ilana Gross at ilana@matimop.org.il, tel. 03-5118111 ex. 32, who will be coordinating activities at Britech's office within MATIMOP in Tel Aviv.
Both of these organisations will be issuing guidelines for the submission of partner search requests in the near future.
2. New Funding Applications
All new applications for project funding from The Britech Fund will be handled by Britech's office at MATIMOP in Israel. As the two governments have not yet completed formal arrangements for the processes and targets for future Britech projects, no further information is available at this time. Until the new rules become available, please continue to watch the Britech website at www.britech.org for further details.
3. Existing Projects
All existing Britech-funded projects will continue to be handled from Britech's UK office, and companies in this category have been written to separately with details of the changes.
