Canada

The Canada-Israel Industrial Research and Development Foundation was founded at the end of 1994. In the original agreement each government committed to granting CAN$1 million each year for the three years 1995-1997. The foundation was funded for an additional three year period in the beginning of 1997.  

CIIRDF promotes collaboration between Israeli and Canadian companies through two avenues of activities:  

1. Funding 50% of the R&D cost of joint projects between Israeli and Canadian hi-tech companies.

2. Providing partnering services to Israeli and Canadian companies interested in seeking a technology partner in the other country.
