Welcome to CIRDC
CIRDC the China-Israel Industrial R&D Cooperation Program is a bi-national framework aimed to support collaborative R&D ventures between Chinese and Israeli companies in accordance with the bi-national agreement signed by the two respective governments. The Department of Science and Technology of MOFTEC and the Department of International Cooperation of MOST, on behalf of the Chinese government and MATIMOP, on behalf of the Office of the Chief Scientist (OCS) in the Ministry of Industry Trade and Labor, in Israel, are jointly in charge of the implementation of the agreement in the two countries.
SUPPORT
In the framework of the bi-lateral agreement, each of the two governments will support their own industrial enterprises which are participating in joint R&D projects with industrial enterprises from the other country aimed at the development of products or processes to be commercialized in the global market. Innovative R&D projects with substantial potential for market success may get financial support for up to 50% of the approved R&D expenditures.
Each of the industrial Partners shall be subject to the provisions of the applicable laws, regulations and procedures with respect to assistance and funding of research and development provided by the government of that Partner.
ELIGIBILITY
Eligible projects will be those based on alliances or cooperation between at least one industrial partner from Israel and at least one industrial partner from China, by which technological knowledge is developed jointly to the mutual benefit of businesses in China and Israel.
CIRDC shall only assist joint innovative technology development projects undertaken by companies from China and Israel.
