Maryland / Israel Development Program Request for Proposals
The Maryland Israel Development Program ("Program") is a joint project of the Maryland/Israel Development Centre (MIDC), Maryland's Department of Business and Economic Development (DBED) and the Office of the Chief Scientist (OCS) of Israel's Ministry of Industry, Trade and Labor. The five year $5,000,000 program of parallel support based on a Memorandum of Understanding between the State of Israel and the State of Maryland will support in Maryland and Israeli companies collaborating on joint industrial R&D projects for new product development. Criteria of Eligible Companies and Partnerships · Companies developing and commercializing new products in various technology areas. · Collaborations between one company from Maryland and one company from Israel, each of whose principal place of business are located there. · The product, process or technology must be innovative and there must be a technological risk involved. · The project must be equally significant for both participants. The program grants up to $400,000 per project, split between the Maryland and Israeli partners. MIDP financial support may not exceed 50% of the total cost of the project. R&D projects in which the program's financial support will be less than 50% of the total investment are encouraged.
